The touch sensitive pad will quietly protect prohibited locations from trespassers.

When touched, the battery sends tiny pulses to the mat for 3 seconds. These unexpected tiny 'zaps' swiftly discourage most pets who avoid the locatioin after just a couple of exposures - even when the mat is taken away.

Place the flexible vinyl Scat Mat in a room entrance, on your sofa, counter top or the hood of your car. The touch sensitive pad will silently protect prohibited areas from trespassers.

Put it underneath untouchable objects, across entry ways, on pieces of furniture, beneath Christmas trees or decorations, around or under trash cans, on top of car hoods: anyplace that you would like to discourage your pets or someone else's pets.

• Scat mats are powered by battery, so they can be used anywhere. (Uses one 9 volt alkaline battery - not included)
• Scat Mat provides variabale power settings: correct deterrence sensations for different sized pets. Teach kittens on Low; cats at Medium; adult dogs and long haired cats on High. * Scat Mat's Touch-Indication light blinks to inform you how often the scat mat has been touched since it was last switched on. No blinks means your four-legged friend is definitely staying away from the mat. * To economically increase the number and/or size of the areas you wish to cover, each Scat Mat will power up to 6 Extension mats that can be connected to the battery-powered original.
• Every original battery-powered scat mat (not extension mat) has an outlet to accept an optionally-available power adapter (sold separately below) to convert to A/C current. Using the adapter, you can plug it into an outlet in the house. (A/C adaptor does not connect to Couch Protector).

Cover more areas.

• Use more than one mat at one time by adding mat extensions. The extension is "live" once it is attached to an original mat, so it delivers the same correction as the original. Daisy-chain them together to go from one piece of furniture to another. (rectangular can be as far apart as 12 feet) to protect more than one area using the power source of the original mat (limited to 6 extensions). Strip extensions snap directly onto the original strip to extend the reach.
• Spread your protection for less. Dummy mat looks just like the real scat mat but has no live correction and costs less. Use it after pets have experienced the real one to remind them about forbidden areas.
