We have a golden retriever who swims in the pool constantly. She comes into the house sopping and dripping, right on to the oriental carpet. After we placed the scat mat across the doorway to the mud room, she stops there every time. We're all much happier when she comes into the livingroom only when she's invited.

After spending a lot of money to remodel our house, the dog has shredded the new mahogany front door protecting us from the mail man. We've had the mat for a week, and she no longer goes near the door. She still barks and carries on 5 feet from the door, but her feet are off the wood.
